AI ASSISTANT POLICY

Effective Date: May 1, 2026

This AI Assistant Policy (“Policy”) supplements the Lifestyle Prescriptions® University Terms of Use and Privacy Notice, and is fully incorporated therein. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings set out in those documents. By accessing or using any AI-powered feature, tool, or assistant (“AI Assistant”) provided through our Services, you unconditionally agree to this Policy.

1. PURPOSE AND NATURE OF AI ASSISTANTS

AI Assistants are interactive tools powered by large language models (LLMs) and related artificial intelligence technologies. They are made available exclusively for educational, informational, and habit‑improvement purposes. AI Assistants are not licensed healthcare professionals, attorneys, or financial advisors, and they do not constitute a substitute for professional judgment.

2. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

THE AI ASSISTANTS DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. Any content generated by an AI Assistant is general in nature and must not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional.

DO NOT USE AI ASSISTANTS IN EMERGENCIES. If you believe you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, immediately call your local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

3. USER RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCEPTABLE USE

3.1 General Conduct

Your use of AI Assistants is governed by the Terms of Use, including the Acceptable Use Policy and Honor Code. You agree not to:

• Input or attempt to input any unlawful, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory content.

• Use AI Assistants to generate or distribute spam, malware, disinformation, or any content that violates the rights of others.

• Attempt to reverse‑engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying model, training data, or algorithms.

• Use AI Assistants to complete assignments, quizzes, or exams in a manner that violates the Honor Code (e.g., submitting AI‑generated work as your own when not expressly permitted).

3.2 Sensitive Data

While our AI Assistants are HIPAA‑compliant (see Section 4), you should still exercise discretion. You may share health information only as necessary for educational purposes within the designated HIPAA‑compliant environment. You must never input credit card numbers, passwords, or other credentials into an AI Assistant.

4. HIPAA COMPLIANCE AND DATA SECURITY

Lifestyle Prescriptions® University is committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your information. Our AI Assistants are HIPAA‑compliant. This means we have implemented and maintain rigorous administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that meet or exceed the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its implementing regulations.

Specifically:

• Business Associate Agreements (BAAs): We have executed BAAs with third‑party service providers, including our LLM providers and cloud hosting partners, that may create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information (PHI) on our behalf. These agreements legally bind them to the same HIPAA standards we uphold.

• Encryption: All data transmitted to and from the AI Assistants is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. PHI and other sensitive data are encrypted at rest using AES‑256 or equivalent industry‑standard encryption.

• Access Controls: Access to data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who have a legitimate business need and who have received training on HIPAA privacy and security. We enforce role‑based access controls, unique user IDs, and automatic session timeouts.

• Audit Logs: We maintain comprehensive audit trails to record access and modifications to PHI, allowing us to detect and respond to potential security incidents.

• Data Integrity: We have implemented controls to ensure that PHI is not improperly altered or destroyed.

• Incident Response: We maintain a formal incident response plan and will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by HIPAA and applicable state law in the event of a breach of unsecured PHI.

Important Note: The AI Assistant environment is intended to support your educational journey. While it is HIPAA‑compliant, you should still avoid disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary for the educational purpose.

5. DATA PRIVACY: HOW WE HANDLE YOUR INFORMATION

5.1 Our Commitment

Student data will never be sold, shared with outside parties for their own marketing purposes, or used to train the underlying LLM models. We do not use the content of your AI Assistant conversations, or any other personal data you provide, for model training purposes. Your interactions are your own.

5.2 Processing of Interactions

AI Assistant interactions are processed by a HIPAA‑compliant third‑party platform provider (the “LLM Provider”) under a BAA. Your inputs and the AI‑generated outputs are transmitted to and temporarily processed by the LLM Provider solely for the purpose of generating the response and maintaining the security of the system. They are not retained by the LLM Provider for any other purpose.

5.3 LPU’s Data Handling

LPU stores limited user profile data (such as login credentials and course enrollment information) in secure, encrypted databases for authentication and service delivery. Only aggregate, de‑identified usage data may be collected for the purpose of improving our Services; this data cannot be linked back to you.

6. DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS (EUROPEAN UNION AND UNITED KINGDOM)

If you reside in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, the following additional rights apply to the processing of your personal data in relation to AI Assistants:

• Legal Basis: We process your personal data based on your consent and our legitimate interests in providing and improving educational services. You may withdraw consent at any time through your account settings; withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

• Your Rights: You have the right to request access to, rectification, or erasure of your personal data; restriction of processing; data portability; and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us at evolve@lifestyleprescriptions.tv.

• International Transfers: Your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws. We ensure adequate safeguards for such transfers through the use of the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable. Copies of these safeguards are available upon request.

• Complaints: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (e.g., the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (UNITED STATES)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. In relation to AI Assistants:

• Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

• Right to Delete: You may request the deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal obligations).

• Right to Non‑Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To exercise your rights, use the self‑serve tools in your account settings or email evolve@lifestyleprescriptions.tv with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, provided we can verify both your identity and the agent’s authority.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

8.1 Ownership of Inputs and Outputs

You retain your rights in the original content you input into an AI Assistant. As between you and LPU, LPU makes no claim of ownership to AI‑generated outputs, but by using the AI Assistant you grant LPU the same license to any content you submit as described in the “User Content” section of the Terms of Use.

8.2 Non‑Exclusivity

AI Assistants may generate identical or similar responses for different users. You acquire no exclusive rights to any output. We do not guarantee that any output is novel or unique.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE AI ASSISTANTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LPU AND THE LPU PARTIES EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE AI ASSISTANTS WILL BE ERROR‑FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR COMPLETELY FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. OUTPUTS MAY BE INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE. YOU ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR EVALUATION AND USE OF ANY AI‑GENERATED CONTENT.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LPU PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE AI ASSISTANTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE LPU PARTIES FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO THE AI ASSISTANTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THE MAIN TERMS OF USE. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL LIMIT LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of AI Assistants after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

This AI Assistant Policy is an integral part of the Lifestyle Prescriptions® University Terms of Use and Privacy Notice. In the event of any inconsistency, this Policy shall govern with respect to AI Assistants, while the main agreements shall continue to apply to the Services generally.
